Illuminated Compass

This is more than a pair of binoculars -- the Oceana 7x50 also helps you on your way with an illuminated compass and reticle for measuring distances. A crucial tool for explorers, the illuminated compass provides accurate directions at all times. The built-in reticle helps you determine the size of objects in your sights and your distance from them. The internal reticle calculates the view angle, horizontal view angle, vertical view angle and distance. It uses 10 mils for each number and consists of a vertical and horizontal scale that intersects above the compass degree scale. For those that want to quickly measure distance to a location without using the reticle, there is also an included calculator dial at the end of the left objective tube.

Rugged Aluminum Construction

The binoculars feature an aluminum body coated with rubber armor that protects the binoculars from bumps and light impact. For easier gripping and drop prevention, the armor is equipped with thumb grips and a ridged surface. The lens barrels have o-ring seals to prevent moisture and dirt from infecting the optical system, while nitrogen gas inside the binoculars combats fogging.
