The Steamforged Games Dark Souls: The Board Game adventures await in the Darkroot Expansion, featuring new enemies, new encounter cards that those enemies use, and new treasure cards of characters to discover throughout the adventure. The components for two new main encounters further enhance player options and provide new challenges. The Darkroot Expansion is designed to use with Dark Souls: The Board Game. It is a lush but strange region of Dark Souls. Scarecrows, giant stone warriors, and forest plants are sentinel to hinder any hero foolish enough to challenge this kingdom. Darkroot is also the final resting place of Artorias, a deadly and unforgiving sword that is eternally protected by his companion, the Great Grey Wolf Sif.
