Riedel Overture Champagne Glass (Set of 2)
Claus Riedel changed the world of wine when he realized that bouquet, taste, and balance are all affected by glass shape. First made in 1989, the Overture series introduced reasonably priced wine glasses for varietal-specific wines into the market. As part of the series, Riedel designed Champagne glasses to accentuate fine mousse, texture and fruity character, while the etched point at the bottom of the bowl ensures a steady stream of bubbles. Convenient yet elegant, these glasses are made of lead free glass.
Flute Glass Shape
The flute is the go-to shape for Champaign lovers. An icon of luxury and class, the tall bowl is both visually appealing and perfect for generating the classic ‘fizz’ of Champagne.
Riedel Design
Claus Riedel was known for designing grape varietal-specific glassware for enhanced enjoyment of different types of wine. He spent 16 years studying the physics of wine delivery, and his creations reflect his tireless commitment to perfection.
