Smith Optics Quantum-Mips Ski/Snow Helmet (Matte White Charcoal, Medium)

If you spend more days on the mountain than off, the Smith Quantum is your helmet for bomber protection season after season. In addition to a hybrid shell that adds durability, Quantum's secret comes from using Koroyd throughout the helmet, a fully-vented material that absorbs more energy in a crash than traditional foam construction alone. Add MIPS for increased safety during angled impacts, and you have our most advanced helmet design. Since all this protection is useless if you don't want to wear it, we dialed up the comfort level with a system that micro-adjusts around your whole head. A sweat-wicking, odor-fighting liner keeps you warm, while an easily adjustable 22-vent design lets you adjust airflow as needed.

Protection

This helmet has a Hybrid shell construction that blends a durable exterior with a lightweight in-molded shell for durability where you need it most while keeping the helmet light. It also features Aerocore construction featuring Koroyd for lightweight, energy-absorbing, and ventilated impact protection and MIPS Brain Protection System reduces rotational forces caused by angled impacts to the head. Exoskeleton enhances impact protection in side-impact zones and it comes with ASTM F 24, CE EN 1077:2007 CLASS B certification.

Fit / Integration

BOA 36 Fit System in this helmet offers the most adjustable fit with the turn of a dial for on-the-fly micro-adjustability and the Fidlock strap buckle offers easy one-hand operation. The AirEvac ventilation system integrates with Smith goggles for fog-free lenses. The removable ear pads are used in the helmet for form-fitting comfort. It is available in Round Contour Fit to better match rounder head shapes.

This helmet features Antimicrobial lining and 22 vents that fight odors and maintain air flow. Plus this helmet is compatible with the Outdoor Tech audio system.
