The Benchmade 163BK Sibert Bushcrafter
Outdoor Knife is a versatile knife that can be used for many tasks. From having
a fixed mechanism the blade style of this knife is drop point, it drops off the
spine to the top and the tip height is typically above the center line on the
blade. CPM-CruWear is the special steel used for the blade, it is an
air-hardenable non-stainless tool steel that has improved toughness and wear resistance
over D2 steel. The CPM- CruWear has vanadium to form extremely hard vanadium
carbides for edge retention along with and tungsten and molybdenum to increase
the working hardness without reducing the toughness. The handle has a great
carbon fiber finish, a contemporary premium composite of thin strands of carbon
tightly woven into various weave patterns, then impregnated with resin that is
most commonly clear but can be color-tinted. It offers great looks and is
exceptionally strong for its minimal weight. To protect the knife from getting
damaged a black injection molded sheath with push button release is used for
the knife sheath.
