GRR-RIPPER Plus lets you feed the wood at a smooth, consistent rate to prevent stopping, which causes the blade to burn the wood. For longer cuts, 18-inch boards or longer, we recommend using two GRR-RIPPER Plus to feed the material hand-over-hand for a smooth, consistent cut and to prevent burn marks or tool marks.

Kickback occurs when the workpiece strays from the fence and gets pinched between the saw blade and the fence. The blade's rear teeth grab the workpiece, turning it into a dangerous projectile. The only way to avoid kickback is to maintain control of the workpiece throughout the cut.
