The Benchmade 560BK-1 Freek Folding Knife offers a pop of color and improved durability in a familiar design. Its 10G gray and black handle with a red base layer and anodized aluminum barrel spacers creates a fresh and fun look while providing excellent grip and comfortable hold. Designed to push the limits, this variant of the Freek family presents a tough CPM-M4 blade with a promise of improved longevity. Featuring Axis locking mechanism, drop point blade style, and reversible tip-up split arrow pocket clip.
AXIS Locking Mechanism
Benchmade uses the ambidextrous AXIS mechanism for locking its folding knives. Two omega-style springs, one per liner, create inertia in the locking bar so that it engages the knife tang. This security mechanism is unique to Benchmade knives.
CPM-M4
A powder-metal, non-stainless, special purpose high-speed steel with a combination of high carbon, moly, vanadium, and tungsten for excellent wear resistance and toughness. Due to its lower level of chrome content, it may require additional care to avoid corrosion.
G10
An extremely durable makeup of layers of fiberglass soaked in resin, then highly compressed and baked. Impervious to moisture or liquid and physically stable under a wide range of temperatures.
